Poker comfort zone

The habit of carefully guarding your comfort zone ends with the fact that even in situations where you can take advantage of the presence at the table is not the best player, many poker players are looking for excuses to make a choice in favor of a standard move that does not require the start of the mental process.
The reason for this behavior is often the fact that players tend to always make decisions in accordance with concepts that are firmly entrenched in the subconscious mind even at the time of learning to play. That is why, when an opponent appears at the table, whose line of conduct is very different from the one that has become a reference, you have to go beyond your comfort zone and come face to face with the need to make rather difficult decisions.
In such a situation, players are immediately divided into three groups. Some simply refuse to continue, the latter make efforts and change their own line of conduct, analyzing the situation and trying to find the best ways, and still others don’t want to believe that a non-standard poker player is able to achieve anything and insist on his opinion regarding the fact that they will easily deprive the strange “amateur” of his money. Only here everything turns out, as a rule, quite the opposite.
Self-analysis – the path to success for any poker player
The refusal to conduct an analysis and the cessation of an active thinking process become the reason why, when switching to new limits, many players simply get lost and do not understand what they need to do in unusual conditions. It was at such moments, in difficult situations, that the realization came that during all this time, the comfort zone remained a reliable shelter.
She allowed not to look further, not to dig too deeply and not to try to understand new strategies. It was completely superfluous, because you could feel at your best, day after day playing the usual pattern, which seemed quite effective or at least promising.
But the biggest problem is that this awareness of the fallacy of one’s own opinion is quickly lost. Over time, the player understands all the nuances and features of the game at the chosen limit, he again stops the choice on a single strategy and, having concluded that, relative to its comparative effectiveness, ceases to think and analyze. So a high and solid wall appears that is constructed around the created comfort zone and does not allow it to go beyond its limits. But being in one place, it is simply impossible to grow.
